How this works — Marketplace

Members list animals for sale; visitors browse; contact runs through the member account, never a raw email address.

A cc_listing custom post type stores each animal. The public grid is a single WP_Query; each card reads a handful of post-meta fields (price, breed, sex, status).

The "list an animal" form is front-end only — members never see wp-admin. It is guarded by a nonce (clubcore_check_nonce()) and a capability check (clubcore_is_member()), and every field is sanitised before it is written. A listing carries a status of available / reserved / sold that drives the badge and card styling.
